New Series: "Cleanup" - House Baby

Hereby I start a new series called "Cleanup" which will include tracks that have been retouched by me to fit my taste of music 'cause some tracks are just to long, have voice overs from the DJ which I hear in Web-Radios etc.

Here the first Clean-Up I made.
I heared that Verano Remix of C-Bool's House Baby on TechnoBase.FM but at around 2:45 the DJ started to send out wished from the audience for almost the rest of the track. :/ - there I replaced those sections with parts from the first part of the track.

Comments are welcome!
Enjoy ;).

The Dark Night Of The Soul

"The Dark night of the Soul" is the theme for my up comming songs that I'm working on at the moment.

The song with the same name interpreted by the Canadian singer Loreena McKennitt catched my attention so that I'm motivated to do a new version of this old topic.
The journey is called ‘The Dark Night’, because darkness represents the hardships and difficulties the soul meets in detachment from the world and reaching the light of the union with the Creator. 1

The following poem from the writings of Saint John of the Cross, a Carmelite priest in the 16th century, gives the framework of inspiration on my songs.

  1. One dark night,
    fired with love's urgent longings
    - ah, the sheer grace! -
    I went out unseen,
my house being now all stilled.
  2. In darkness, and secure,
    by the secret ladder, disguised,
    - ah, the sheer grace! -
    in darkness and concealment,
my house being now all stilled.
  3. On that glad night,
in secret, for no one saw me,
nor did I look at anything,
with no other light or guide
than the one that burned in my heart.
  4. This guided me
more surely than the light of noon
to where he was awaiting me
    - him I knew so well -
there in a place where no one appeared.
  5. O guiding night!
O night more lovely than the dawn!
    O night that has united
    the Lover with his beloved,
transforming the beloved in her Lover.
  6. Upon my flowering breast
which I kept wholly for him alone,
    there he lay sleeping,
    and I caressing him
there in a breeze from the fanning cedars.
  7. When the breeze blew from the turret,
    as I parted his hair,
    it wounded my neck
    with its gentle hand,
    suspending all my senses.
  8. I abandoned and forgot myself,
    laying my face on my Beloved;
all things ceased; I went out from myself,
    leaving my cares
    forgotten among the lilies.

This might lead to just one song or an entire album.
My feeling say there is enough material for various songs.

New Series: "Origins of Early Days" - Part 1 - Drumexperience

This will be the first post on a series on my early work.

Back in the last century, when I got my first PC it came with big bundle of some cool additional software. One of those applications was called Magix Music Maker. It was the first time when I got in touch with a software with which I could make music. With Music Maker it was possible to arrange pre-recorded samples and make your own songs out of it. It was version 2 I worked on and it was limited to just 16 tracks.

So here you can enjoy my first steps in compositions in Electronic Music (Winter 1997-1998):

I came up with "Drumexperience" when I scrabbled through the sample library which came with the application and played around with the drum-machines that where there. At that time I was a huge fan of a music series called "X-Mix", which was released from 1993 - 2001 by record label STUD!O K7 in Berlin. These mixes included songs from the best electronic DJ´s at time. These 10 compilations highly inspired me to create "Drumexpierience" and do my own electronic music.

It's amazing after all that years, the cool sound of the early ´90s techno :D

Welcome to Audiologics Blog

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Here you’ll have the possibility to get an insight in the production of my new tracks. Audiologics is a project that is meant to have a playground to express electronic and experimental music and to learn different technics in the process of music production and sound synthesis. This is done in my sparetime which means there will not be daily updates here.

I'd like to get as much feedback as possible - all sort of input is welcome, (tips, critizism or improvements) - as long as they are helpful for the purpose of improvement.

Let's get started on this and be part of the journey into electronic muisc production!
